This is a beautiful historic hotel that overlooks old city of Lyon as well as the new. I consider it a jewel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and also very personable. I would definitely return here.
Beautiful place and beautiful room. Good view from terrace. Service is a big problem. We have a very strong sewer smell in our room. We took the best type of room the hotel offers. We are offered to downgrade or to go to a room with same smell by the hotel manager. After many discussions, nothing is offered to us to solve this problem. We have to sleep with windows open and the street is really noisy. Beautiful hotel with very bad and unhealthy sleep without any support from senior staff. Wifi is also so slow it is unusable.
Update : the last day of our stay, we have had the hotel coming to us that offer is 50% of our stay credited to apologize. I changed from 1 star to 3 stars because we still had sleeping issues because of the problem but the gesture was definitely appreciated.
