The A/C works great, the street outside is close to many very cool shops.
The staff is amazing, there is free tea 24 hours per day. Multiple times they have given us free water or food. They offered to cook our large group a meal for a very good price.
I will save this place as a definite best option.
Great place to stay! The rooms are clean, the AC works really well and the street outside leads to some really cool shops and places in the city.
The best part about staying here was the staff. They were SO hospitable and generous. Multiple times they gave me a bottle of water, snacks and even cooked my team some pasta for free. They have tea available 24/7 and their breakfast is really good!!
Definitely recommend it if you are visit Izmir.

If you want a taste old Izmir this pleasant little hotel smack in the middle of what remains of the past beauty of Smyrna is a good choice. Amongst traditional bakeries, old hammams, luthiers and the neighborhood mosque you get a whiff of a vanished Mediterranean/Ottoman world. The room was great, service very friendly, though more geared to Turkish visitors, price very good. Expect a Turkish breakfast (savoury emphasis, cucumber, olives, yoghurt, cheese, fruit, tea, anything sweet really really sweet). I think I had a far better deal than my colleagues staying at the global hotel chain.
