Rooms are small. I expected more.
Trendy and chic hotel! Location is great, right in the middle of the flower district, short walk to delis and cafes as well as Chelsea market and Madison square park. View of the empire state building from the street! Hotel has rooftop bar and discounts for tourist spots. Recommend for recreational visits however. Room is small with only a fold out table and chair for a desk, and no in room coffee machine. Business center is closer to a bar lounge.
We stayed at the Moxy over the weekend and it for sure is a very clean hotel, beautiful lobby area with tons of seating which was nice, staff was also very friendly. However, not giving five stars only cause I did request an early check in weeks in advance because our bus dropped us off by 10:00AM and they would not let anyone check in early.. kinda a bummer since it was a rainy weekend in NYC.. we had to change in the lobby bathroom and get ready for our plans. But.. good thing Moxy had such a comfortable sitting area we could relax in and get ready which made it easier. The rooms are very modern, clean, beds were comfy however small rooms for sure.. not much space.. no tables/dressers. But perfect for a mini getaway in the city! Thanks Moxy! ????
I was expecting a higher room, with a view of the Empire State, but I was thankful for the room I got 2602. I loved it… the room was very accommodating, the one thing I did not like was how the toilet did not have an extractor fan, (would’ve made going to the bathroom more peaceful, being sure no one could hear anything ????)
We got a room with double bunk beds and it was perfect! Check-in was fast and staff was friendly. We even got free breakfast everyday (although it was coffee and a biscuit, but it was good enough)
