Check in early. The bellmen and security were phenomenal..they watched me while I took my dog to the restroom late at night which made me feel 100% safe. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond any of my expectations. I highly recommend!!!
It was my first time in NYC and I picked this hotel thinking we’d have a great experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case, after checking in we got to our room and it smelt awful. We had been told that we could grab $20 worth of items from the mini bar/fridge due the amenities charge. Upon opening the fridge, there was old leftovers left in the fridge which explained the smell. The room was not cleaned properly and the mini fridge was not stocked, nothing was left (not even the pantry items on the desk). We called the lobby and got placed in another room, when we got to the new room, the mini fridge was still not stalked (why offer a $20 credit towards the mini bar fee if you don’t stock it?) Despite everything, we went to bed and around 1-2 am loud music was shaking the entire room, nonstop, all we could here was bass. This was not noise coming from outside (I know NYC is a loud city) it was coming from underneath or next to us but we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. We called the lobby at 3am and got moved again because we could not sleep, the 3rd room was fine, nothing special. I’m an avid traveler and I have never had to change rooms 3 times during 1 stay, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I was under the impression that the Intercontinental was a classy hotel, this location however, does not fall under that. Stay elsewhere!
We have the bridal shower there. Great location and good service. The room is not big but very clean. Best place to stay in the midtown.
Me and my friends had the best experience in this hotel. Staff was ultra friendly and helpful. Always greeting us with a smile . Everything we needed was given to us in a matter of minutes at our door. The rooms are super clean and housekeeping is daily. Room is sufficiently big and everything is in great conditions. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it 100%
