We had a great night here. The decoration in the room is amazing. Inside the building is separated by coffee shop and hotel which is quite private for our stay. One coupon for tea set complimentary. 24 hours free parking at the opposite hotel. Also the coffee shop is provided us a great fresh breakfast. Very impressive.
This used to be a Chinese Bank, then a massage parlour and now has been lovingly restored into a fabulous place to enough quality food and drink. Great chilled out music playing in the background. I thought the prices were very reasonable for such high quality. Will certainly visit again, thank you
I leave a poor review, and with what I believe is good reason. I’ve been here once as a customer to their cafe and the experience was generally good, as was the food.
However, I’ve also been simply as a tourist driving by to take photos, along the sidewalk near this hotel. It was then that an employee very aggressively approached us, insisted that it was unlawful to take photos of our cars, the streets, or ourselves, in such a way that included the hotel and its logos. Despite us politely explaining that we were simply taking photos of our cars and ourselves in a peaceful and lawful manner, on the public streets near the hotel, the employee would not stop intimidating us and harassed us until we left his sight. Not only was this unprofessional of the employee (and the organisation of which he represents), but taking photos on a public street, of our personal property, is in fact not at all illegal; it is our right to be walking and/or driving on the streets and to be taking photos of ourselves and our property. It is however, not the employee or the hotel’s right to intimidate and force people away from the public areas around the hotel, of which was not the focal point of our photos. Even after we had stopped taking photos, and was simply standing on the sidewalk, the employee continued to intimidate us. Furthermore, does it not make sense that such a business would invest in a place so rich in beauty and story-backed design, only to not allow people to take photos and appreciate the location?
If the relevant people in charge of running this business do take the time to read this review, I highly recommend re-considering your policies, how your staff choose to enforce them, and perhaps reflect upon why you had chose to renovate and preserve such a location. I would also encourage the hotel and its management team to make themselves familiar with the idea of street photography, as well as the laws and regulations surrounding such activity.
Thank you for your time.
Hidden gem in Sampanthawong area. Many people will think of this area as a Chinese quarter. Nonetheless, this Western style building has tood here for years. It is a combination of a hotel and cafe. The owner preserves the old style and add some chic signature to it. It is pricey but it is worth every penny. It is very popular for photos. No parking lot and 2 orders are mandatory.
Beautiful restaurant and also pet friendly! Located near the Chinatown area, this place is a must visit! #SoMCity
