The Murray Hong Kong A Niccolo Hotel Comments

  1. I went for a brunch and I enjoyed it very much. very good service. We arrived early and seated in terrace with good attentive service until our indoor table was ready. Brunch was abundant and it was very busy. We also met a young gentleman called leaonardo who spent time with us and others checking our satisfaction. A quite impressed hotel with high level of service. We will come back very soon.

  2. This past Saturday afternoon my girlfriend and I had a booking for afternoon tea. As much as we were looking forward to this it was pretty awful. The service was terribly slow..the tables were dirty and not bused. Our drinks arrived slow, our cutlery arrived one by one along with the table settings, coffees and teas came with no sugar or milk. The cream/ butter and jam arrived for the scones and looked like it had come from another table. There were crumbs all over the jam and the cream had a knife chunk taken out of it. The music was very weird for an afternoon tea time some sort of electric trance mixed with the loud speaker from a wedding nearby…all was extremely jarring.
Then the icing on the top…when I looked at the top tier after we ate the scones (basically the only thing we ate) there was a hair on the plate (under the scone) ????…
Also a side bar suggestion for the savoury portion to have one option that’s more traditional tea time fare and then one option that is the current selection of eastern fusion. Pretty hard to have tea cakes as a pregnant women when the majority of options have foods one should not eat: brie, ham, salmon, abalone.. etc.
Anyways sorry to be writing this and hate to be “that person” but I’ve been thinking about this experience. As much as I wanted to enjoy the afternoon. It left a pretty awful taste.
