First-class service is what one would expect from a first-class hotel. We went to meet a couple of friends who stayed at your hotel. We sat down in the lobby area and a waitress came with 2 glasses of water for us. She said this was so we could take off our masks and chat, while waiting. Our friends came soon after and we hardly drank our water. But this little gesture speaks volumes. If only more hotels understand that this is what service is all about, making your guest feel like a VIP. And it costs almost nothing. Kudos.
Check in was quick. Bed was comfy but the pillows was a bit too soft, do request for an additional pillow if you prefer firmer pillows. Not sure if it was just my room but the temperature of the water when showering kept going back and forth on hot & cold. The hotel toiletries were great though! Pool was a bit underwhelming though.
Purchased the family vacations package + F&B benefits for 2 nights stay and below were my feedback:-

Very limited in-house dinning choices
Taste for the in-house dinning food standard dropped. (Ordered lobster hokkien noodles/ chicken rice and crab fried rice)
The glasses in the room were not clean. Can see many finger prints
All the pillows were very soft.
(Recommend anyone to call for an extra harder pillow)
Afternoon tea was not good.. just either too dry or too sweet and also the tea choices were not good.
Package also include kids tea time snack.. but nothing was given. (Note: afternoon tea not suitable for kids)
Recommendation
Select the breakfast delivery between 730am to 9am slot as kids usually wake up early.
For late sleeper, okay to select the breakfast slot between 930am to 11am as ours arrived at 1055am.
Overall to me, sofitel is an over-rated 5 stars hotel. Would recommend other 5 stars hotel
A very nice property. Particularly love the lobby lounge with a fine selection of food, and an extensive collection if alcoholic beverages including barrel-aged cocktails which was always a joy to sample! The room is spacious and cosy. Also enjoy the swimming pool which offers insta-worthy perspectives, and a fully equipped gym to burn those calories just so that guests could continue to dine and wine! ????
