A note of caution for anyone thinking of visiting Siam Square who has been here before.. the place is a mere shadow of its former self… Most of the old boutique shops and coffee houses and great little eateries are either closed or will be closed soon and torn down! It appears that the local government and big developers have finally moved in to completely erase the charming Siam Square of old with more of the same international brands and office space and overpriced hotels and apartments… And in so doing, traffic and parking situation is worse than ever… Avoid this area now if possible.

Comfortable stay in downtown Bangkok. Novotel is well established in Siam Square for decades. The hotel is located in one of the busiest areas in Bangkok. Many famous malls (e.g. Siam Centre and Siam Paragon) are witnin a walking distance. Food and restaurants are very famous. Even though catering services are limited during COVID-19, Novotel can still keep its gastrnomic reputation. Highly recommended.
