Monument Hotel Comments

  1. Attention of the receptionist is pathetic. Had a booking for Lasarte and instead of asking about it he directly said that I couldn’t just walk in and assumed I didn’t have one. His attitude reflects extremely poorly in a fantastic 3star restaurant

  2. ???? BRUNCH REVIEW – YUMMY SUNDAYS @monument_hotel ????

First of all, I am so happy that brunch is a thing in Europe. In fact, I am ecstatic. There were buffet-style starters, which were a collection of cold cuts, steak tartare, oysters with coconut cream (probably the best oyster I have ever enjoyed) just to name a few dishes.

The mains were sporadically brought out to the table to share, which included cod omelet, txangurro, Fried Hake, Clams in green sauce, old beef cutlet and finally a wagyu cottage pie tasting dish (my favourite out of the mains).

The desserts were on a whole other level. Everything from the white chocolate coated cake, cheesecake to the lemon meringue tart.

Lastly, the general service and vibe of the restaurant was upbeat and super friendly. A perfect sunday afternoon well spent!
