The room is pretty unique, as the placement of the bathroom is at the window side of the room instead of the room entrance side. The room is also pretty spacious with high ceiling. The breakfast buffet service was a bit limited due to covid measures, but the overall experience was good for colonial architecture enthusiasts.
A historical building with old British colony style. Nice surroundings and a lot of greens. Rooms can be better designed. Worth trying once but not repeat.
Fort Canning hotel given a 5 star hotel rating was a huge disappointment. There was no baggage service. I had to lug up my own baggage to my room on the second floor.
The hotel does not provide your own bottle opener, they only have one so the staff has to come into your room to open up your bottled drinks for you.
Secondly I requested for a bucket of ice which did not come for the first 15 minutes. After which I had to call for a second time. Which then the ice came.
Would expect better service from a five star hotel.
My favourite hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and cozy. The bed is soft and big. Good stay!
