Ha La Bodrum Comments

  1. Authentic, quiet and well-located this stone farmhouse is best enjoyed if you have an open mind and an open heart. There are no TVs and the wifi doesn’t really work.

The garden cats give you alluring looks at breakfast and there are two little doggies. The beagle always walks away from you, the white-haired fella wants to come in your room if you take the garden suite. You’ll also see him in town, casually making his daily rounds.

A sophisticated little garden cocktail party is hosted every night during the high season. Some might be bothered by the music, but the sound of people enjoying themselves is always a joy to me.

Some of the staff speak English but otherwise we have relied on smiles and gesticulation.

Something about the vibe of the place makes each service gaff deepen my love for it.

  2. Stay in a 500 year old traditional villa, with great location, only 2 minute walk from the port. Ayça was the greatest host, spoke great English and was very welcoming. What I like the most was walking around and feeling like I was at my own house, loved the seating area in the back of the house, simply beautiful. Breakfast time was so lovely, we couldn’t help but stay for hours after breakfast talking and enjoying the space. The backyard is full of trees baring fruits! Lemons, mandarin oranges, pomegranates,, you can walk around and eat what you wish! Great experience,, will be back for sure.
