Very nice hotel with helpful and kind staff.
The hotel has a very traditional atmosphere.It is a beautiful old building with huge spaces inside the rooms. Best location within the city.
Excellent and attentive Service. Wonderful suite. I just wish they had a Jacuzzi on rooftop! Would definitely stay there again.
We were a week in Barcelona and stayed at the El avenida palace, it was a lovely week, the accommodation was above expectations, the rooms are clean, the hotel staff is very nice and welcoming, great location close to everything, excellent and quiet area. We will definitely return to it in the future. Thank you for a pleasant and pleasant stay.
The Epitome of Personal Attention
In this day and age of everyday hustle and bustle, it is very refreshing to experience Old World Service. That was my personal experience during my recent 7 night stay.
Every time I entered the hotel lobby, I was personally greeted with a smile and asked if there was anything the staff could do to make my stay more enjoyable. They were truly sincere and not just going through the motions. Several times I took them up on their offer and the outcome was amazing.
When I encountered an issue with securing a timely COVID test, the staff and particularly Nickelo sprang into action. Through their diligent and unrelenting efforts, they made it happen.

From the grand entrance, the place looks grand and luxurious. Indeed the hotel does have great history and pedegree. My main issue is in the room where the carpet was durty and the floors did smell old and a bit dusty, the shower door did kot close properly, the electric switches were confusing and did turn on different lights which seems to have nothing with one another. No room service late night, no electronic keys and what a key, it weights a ton????! The location is great, central to everything, very convenient, decent price.
